We looked for solid, citable nationwide data before touching anything above. Here's what we found — and what we didn't.
The NBS Transport Fare Watch (passenger bus fares, not freight) reported an average intracity bus trip at ₦1,431 in May 2026 (up 38.6% year-on-year) and an average intercity bus trip at ₦9,700 (up 21.9% year-on-year). This isn't the same market as the vehicle-hire costs in the Transport & Delivery section of the estimator — it's passenger fare data — but the trend is a useful signal: transport costs in Nigeria are climbing quickly, so revisit your own delivery and logistics numbers often.

Market-watch pricing for standard 12m reinforcement rods (Oct 2026): roughly ₦3,800–₦5,200 for 8mm, up to ₦60,700–₦83,400 for 32mm, per piece; bulk local/TMT rod runs roughly ₦800,000–₦1,100,000 per tonne. This is a multi-quote indicative range from a market-watch publisher, not an official or audited statistic — get a dated written quote from your own supplier before you price a job.

We did not find a credible, current, nationwide source for Nigerian fabrication/artisan labour rates — welder, machinist, helper, auto technician and the rest. That's why every labour-rate field in the estimator starts at ₦0 with no suggested figure: we would rather tell you plainly that we don't know than hand you an invented number. Set your own real pay rates for each role.
Reported pump prices for diesel varied widely across sources at the time we checked — from roughly ₦1,400 to over ₦2,000 per litre, depending on state, date and retailer. That spread is too wide to responsibly print one "current" number here. Check your own filling station or supplier price before estimating.
